AMERICAN EQUUS CONGRATULATES VICTORIA COLVIN ON SUCCESSFUL SUMMER

Gilbert, Ariz.- Aug. 22, 2018 – American Equus is thrilled to be able to congratulate Chosen Rider, Victoria Colvin, on a summer full of horse show success that concluded with Saturday’s victory in the 2018 USHJA International Hunter Derby. Colvin repeated her victory from 2017 by executing a flawless round on Brad Wolf’s Private Practice. Known as one of the most competitive young equestrians in America, Colvin also produced winning results at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), the Upperville Colt & Horse Show, and the Devon Horse Show, in both hunter and jumper rings.

Before taking home the most coveted Hunter award of the year, Colvin secured an astounding 12 championship titles and seven reserve championship titles at the conclusion of GLEF. Her victories included Champion in the High Performance Hunters, Green 3’9 Hunters, and top-five finishes aboard mounts I Love Lucy, Cuba, and Private Practice in the $25,000 USHJA International Derby.

She also added her name to the list of successful jumper riders at the festival by piloting Haras Rosa Mystica’s Zambia Mystic Rose to numerous top finishes including the only double clear in the $35,000 NetJets Welcome Stake FEI CSI2*.

Prior to her success at GLEF, Colvin attended the Upperville Colt & Horse Show and the Devon Horse Show where she captured multiple top placings in the Performance Hunter, Green Hunter, and International Derby’s with partners Cuba, Gelato, Private Practice, and Grand Affair.

As a proud part of the American Equus team, Colvin can be seen at top horse shows utilizing her Hunter EQ Fillis stirrups in the hunter ring and the Starlight Edition of the English Elite stirrups while in the jumper ring, to keep her position perfect and her style on-point.
