Tryon, N.C. – Nov. 1, 2016 – Innovative stirrup manufacturer, American Equus, has recently teamed up with American Show Jumping professional Brittni Raflowitz. The Wellington native is currently competing in Grand Prix level competition at the Tryon International Equestrian Festival. She will soon be sporting American Equus Elite Stirrups at the Kentucky Horse Park, where she plans to compete in FEI 4* competition.
"I am beyond thrilled that American Equus wanted to partner with me," said Raflowitz. "I was really intrigued by the design of the stirrups and am looking forward to replacing the three different types of stirrups I currently use with just American Equus!"
American Equus began organically as a way for founder David Shano to help his daughter, Chloe, stay secure in her stirrups as she moved up the levels in hunters and jumpers. Shano, who owns and manages several engineering and manufacturing firms in Arizona, immediately noticed that there was opportunity to improve upon current stirrup design and production methods around the world. Putting his years of engineering skills and experience to work, he developed a new product that is as safe as it is stylish.
American Equus is proud to support riders, like Raflowitz, who are always striving to achieve greatness in the equestrian sport. After accomplishing early success as a junior rider, Raflowitz turned professional in 2014 and has been hard at work bolstering her competitive resume in the Grand Prix ring. As a member of the United Sates Equestrian Federation's 2016 Show Jumping Development Tour, Raflowitz gained valuable mileage showing in Europe. She plans to round out 2016 with preparation for the 2017 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, Florida.
Raflowitz, continued, "My main goal is to do more 5* competition at WEF this year. I am looking forward to producing consistent rounds and getting as much experience as possible.
Based in Gilbert, Arizona, American Equus produces stirrups and spurs out of lightweight and durable aluminum alloy. Completely customizable, with hand polished finishes, American Equus products are the perfect mixture of equestrian tradition and 21st century production technology, design and function. The company designs and manufactures equipment suitable for all equestrian disciplines including hunter/jumper, dressage, polo, western and racing. American Equus is also currently the only company to produce stirrups and spurs completely in the United States.
"An American Equus Chosen Rider has to represent professionalism and excellence and a will to continue to improve, and we really felt that Brittni fit that bill for us," said David Shano, President of American Equus. "We are looking forward to seeing great results from Brittni during the upcoming winter show circuit and are really proud to have her as a part of our team,".
